Quarterly Photographer Drop-In

This is for photographers who are tired of playing small, feeling stuck, or creating alone.

Once a quarter, my studio turns into a creative drop-in space where photographers can show up, shoot a paid model, and make work that actually feels like them. You’ll leave with portfolio images, new ideas, and that jolt of inspiration that reminds you why you picked up a camera in the first place.

SCHEDULED DATES:
Friday January 30 6pm-8:30pm–Theme: Valentine, but make it unhinged
Saturday April 25th 3:00-5:00pm
Saturday July 18th 3:00-5:00pm
Saturday October 17th 3:00-5:00pm–We’ll do something spooky
BONUS Saturday December 5th 3:00-5:00pm–We’ll do something inspired by the December holiday

What this is:

• Paid model(s) (because creatives deserve to be paid—always)
• Real shooting time for your portfolio
• A collaborative, low-pressure environment
• Learning through doing, experimenting, and asking questions
• Community over competition
• Occasional themed shoot for the season

What this is NOT:

• A lecture
• A competition
• A place for ego or gatekeeping

$60 per shooting photographer
$30 to observe & learn

Your fee helps make this experience possible for everyone involved. Models are paid, creatives are respected, and the studio becomes a space for real growth—not gatekeeping.

The lights used are Godox/Flashpoint. The studio currently has Flashpoint flash triggers for Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras. Feel free to bring your own, but you are welcome to use ours.
