Retro-Inspired Senior Portrait Session in Spokane, WA

This retro-inspired senior portrait session in Spokane, WA brought the perfect blend of vintage flair and authentic personality. Inspired by the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll and old-school vibes, this session captured more than just a milestone—it celebrated style, confidence, and individuality.

Our senior rocked a Def Leppard graphic tee layered with a bold orange-red corduroy jacket that instantly set the tone. From the first click of the camera, we leaned fully into the retro aesthetic. The session kicked off at my Hillyard studio in front of a wall of vintage boomboxes—a vibrant backdrop that complemented the carefree energy and added a nostalgic touch.

Next, we headed down the street to the colorful Garland district featuring emerald green tiles, colorful walls and vintage architecture. Sitting effortlessly against the wall in wide-leg denim and classic Converse, our senior exuded timeless cool. The casual pose, candid smile, and dynamic use of color made this location a favorite.

To wrap up, we embraced a more artistic, grounded vibe—literally. Lying back on a floor surrounded by vinyl records, the warm, moody lighting and relaxed pose created a scene straight from a ‘70s album cover. Thank you to Resurrection Records for allowing us to use your record store as a playground for our senior portrait session. It was perfect!

This retro-inspired senior portrait session in Spokane was a celebration of personality, music, and youth—with every frame telling its own retro-inspired story.

To assure we capture your most genuine style for your senior portraits, I recommend finding scenes and locations where you feel most at home. Not every senior session needs to take place at a park or on the water. Get creative!!! This is your time to make this your own!
