Creative Senior Pictures

If you are looking for creative senior pictures, look no further.  Senior photon sessions are a very special event that allows you to document who you are as a high school student and an emerging young adult.   My senior portrait sessions usually surround elements that represent who you are as a person. This can mean dressing up in your athletic gear, capturing you with your car, or putting you in a country setting.  This may sound like the usual cookie cutter senior portrait, but I add an element of creativity that will make your images as unique as you are. With Avery, this meant showing her love of classy vintage style.

This creative photo session was like nothing I had ever done with a high school student. Avery brought true vintage items to the session.  The clothes she wore and the accessories she used were true vintage. The letter sweater belonged to her great grandmother and the dresses and shoes came from vintage boutiques. The details of these images are so well put together, you can almost hear the buzz of the neon lights and streets busy with care free teens.

No detail was overlooked! Lindsay with Loft 204 styled her locks to represent a 50’s wavy hair-do. Makeup by Evelyn Mauro applied the truest 50’s makeup with dark eyeliner and bright red lips…a perfect mix with Avery’s creamy skin. We visited multiple locations in Spokane, WA to stay true to our vintage theme. Avery’s family had a connection to the owner of Hogan’s, a 50’s style diner nestled in the South Hill, so it was just a phone call away to gain access. The red stools and checkered floor couldn’t have been a better compliment to the retro outfit Avery pieced together. And you know I just had a fit over the vintage Kodak Duaflex II!

After Hogan’s I took Avery to a simple clearing which offered an open space to park the vintage car and to frolic around in the blossoming trees. Our third and last stop was to the Garland District where we made some nightlife magic in front of the historic Ferguson’s Cafe. These neon lights (and Avery’s love of 50’s style) were the original inspiration for this 3-location shoot to make capture her creative senior pictures. I think we did well!
