It may seem like you have plenty of time to get your high school senior pictures done, but open photo slots are going fast! High school students often express to me how strange it is to be taking pictures for their senior year before it even starts. I usually remind them that senior photos are much more involved than what they are used to. If you book early you can lock in a day that lands in spring, summer or early fall. We will be snapping HUNDREDS of images of you during your session. In addition to taking the actual pictures, I will be editing, retouching, setting them up online so that you can choose the prints you want, and I will get your favorite one to the yearbook staff at your school. All of this takes time, and a lot of planning. So, don’t procrastinate and lets get started!
Zach is one of my seniors that was on top of planning ahead. He booked his session early and we were able to get some great images. Zach and I discussed his photo session ahead of time and he ended up choosing a two location package. We also talked about making the images unique and capturing who he has been as a high school student. He wanted to include what he was most proud of in the pictures. Cruising in an awesome jeep, sporting shades? Now that makes for some great high school senior pictures!
As you consider booking your session (get on it!) take a moment to look through a few of my favorites from Zach’s shoot below. Also peruse through the options available to you and start thinking of how many locations you want to shoot at. Read through some of my blogs on senior portraits for tips to make your senior pictures the best they can be.
