Vow Renewal in Downtown Spokane

It is known that I love the unique and different aspects of being a wedding photographer here in Spokane, WA and I got to experience a first not too long ago. I was able to work with a wonderful couple to capture their vow renewal after husband Lee returned home to his beautiful wife Alli from his military deployment. When I get to work with a couple under special circumstances, it makes it much more personal and exciting to really capture their love for one another and this was no exception.

Bride Alli and her strapping groom Lee wed prior to Lee’s deployment and had their vow renewal at the Spokane Convention Center surrounded by friends and family, just as they planned before his deployment. The room that they chose was perfect; it was in the corner of the building, facing the West, and had two walls of windows. It couldn’t have been more beautiful for the two of them. Beside the great view the entire ceremony was full of laughter and love, which was felt through the laid back atmosphere. One special moment, not to be forgotten, was the bursts of laughter as Alli’s father forgot to walk her down the aisle. He had made his way down the aisle following his wife and had a seat with her. There was brief pause in events, until Alli’s mom nudged him and said “you forgot Alli.” Those who were aware of what had just happened roared with laughter and I was able to capture that special and hilarious moment for Alli and Lee to remember forever.

I really enjoyed working again with the Spokane Convention Center and with this loving couple Lee and Alli to give them the vow renewal of their dreams.
